This is a VERY RARE Black Coloured Porcelain Dial WW1 Trench watch but it is historically important due to the fantastic engraving that the watch carries...a true historical artefact.
Military Crows Foot and H43862
And that's it. Have I gone Mad? No this is one of the very few UK Government Issued Wrist watches of 1917 and this is the stores number. Fantastically Rare Piece and its still working!!!
The hands are awesome and of the cathedral type which with the numerals carry most of the original luminous paint. The dial is beautifully black and in great shape. The crown is the original Pumpkin crown
The movement which is running well is unsigned.
Interestingly the watch is fitted to what I believe to be its original band/strap with a silver buckle.
Is it wearable, oh YES this is a watch made for wearing and will catch the eye of many as your arm rests on the bar of your local pub.
